How it works
97% of deliveries come direct from one of our stores, so you benefit from the convenience of online ordering coupled with unparalleled customer service from our locally-based staff.
When you order, we send the details to the store closest to your delivery address. They will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the order, and arrange the specific delivery details. We can turn around most orders within a day or two, although for addresses further from the store this may be longer (an absolute maximum of 7 days).
If you have specific delivery requirements, there's an 'Additional Information' box on the Checkout you can use to enter a message for the store team and they'll do everything they can to accommodate you.

More than 30 miles from a store?
Unfortunately we don't have stores everywhere and there are some locations just too far away for us to deliver using store-based vans. That's where our Mail Order team come in, dispatching wines via courier across the UK.
Customers in mainland UK still benefit from FREE delivery, and for customers in Northern Ireland, the Scottish Islands, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly we only charge £5 per case. Our experienced team use special packaging to avoid breakages, and can deliver our full range of wines, Champagnes and spirits (but unfortunately not beer, soft drinks or accessories).
Gift Solutions
Our online-only Gift Solutions service offers 1, 2, 3 and 6-bottle gift packs with rapid delivery by courier and your choice of delivery date. Since they're sold independently of our usual 12-bottle minimum purchase delivery is not free, although the postage and packaging charge is incorporated into the price you see. En Primeur
Wines available en primeur are sold on a 'futures' basis before being bottled. The wine is shipped up to two years after purchase when the bottled wines are released. At this point it can either be delivered into a special 'in bond' storage account (a customs controlled warehouse where wines are stored without taxes having been paid on them), or directly to the customer, in which case a second 'release payment' to cover duty, VAT and handling costs are paid at the time of shipping. International delivery
Unfortunately we cannot offer delivery to addresses outside the UK. Wine is heavy and quite delicate to deliver which makes the delivery costs for international orders prohibitively expensive. Furthermore, many countries require additional import paperwork for delivery of alcoholic drinks and this is best handled by an expert international shipper. We recommend finding a local supplier in the country of delivery.
